The Kangaroo team lost on home soil. Team India defeated India by a huge margin of 295 runs. The first match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy was held in Perth while India recorded a win. With this win, India has broken australia’s five records. In 2018, Australia defeated India in the first Test played at the same ground. And now India has taken this revenge. So let’s take a look at which records India have broken in Australia.

India became the first team to beat Australia at the Optus Stadium.

2. The Indian team defeated Australia by a margin of 295 runs. This is India’s biggest win in terms of runs going on Australian soil . Earlier in 1977, Team India won by 222 runs in Melbourne.

3. This can also be called a big victory in the midst of India’s victory in the army country. (South Africa), England, New Zealand, Australia) this is the biggest victory in the countries. This is India’s third biggest victory on foreign soil.  India also won by 318  runs in North Sound, West Indies  and 304  runs in Galle, Sri Lanka.

Jasprit Bumrah  took 8 wickets for 72  runs in this match. This is a new record for the best performance of an Indian captain in victories on foreign soil.

Bumrah has become only the second Asian captain to win a Test match in Perth. Fortunately, the former captain was also an Indian bowler. Under the captaincy of Anil Kumble, India won the WACA (Old Stadium in Perth) in 2008.
